Cake Pops

Cake pops. Aren't they cute?! Don't they look yummy!? I'm kind of wishing my friend hadn't introduced these to me. I made them for the first time yesterday and am already thinking about who else I can make them for and what different flavor combinations I can use. Not to mention the endless decorating possibilities. Total props to "Bakerella" for these delectable little treats. (http://bakerella.blogspot.com.) Don't try them. You'll be hooked. ***Disclaimer: Ava didn't really kill a kitten, or even hurt one in any way. I was just making fun of the way she was holding them. We have lost 3 cats over the last 7 years, but all due to reasons other than murder! Sorry to those that were misled or confused!! We do have all 5 kitties here, looking for good homes shortly!

Ava picked one up and broke it's head!

Mama called the daddy and the daddy said,

No more kitties droppin' off dead! (yes, we've had 3 cats die on us...)

The girls were soooo excited. Ava keeps squealing "kia!" Clearly she is still learning to not hold them by their necks! They are so disappointed that we aren't going to keep any of them. They'll be needing a good home soon. Want a cute, cuddly kitten?!?!?!

So not ready...

I'm so proud of Ella and the reader she has turned into. She loves to read and reads everything (cereal boxes, mail, billboards, my email...seriously EVERYTHING!) So yesterday as we were standing in line to pay for groceries I hear "Is your child SEXting? What does that mean?" I must have heard her wrong. She must have mispronounced something. I turn to see what she has read. The cover of Reader's Digest, right at her eye level. She read it right. I immediately moved over to stand in front of the magazine and changed the subject. I'm so not ready for those kind of questions...
