After Cameron leaned over and kissed Ella, she said "Please don't kiss me on the lips. Those are special kisses I only give my mommy and daddy and that I'll give when I get married." (mom signs a sigh of relief and hope that she'll always save those special kisses!)
Cameron: Ok, I'll kiss you on the cheek. (Ella leans over so he can do so).
When we started making snow cones and they were trying to decide who would get theirs first, Ella tells Cameron, "Gentlemen always let ladies go first." Cameron said, "okay, you can have the first one."
Can you believe these things came out of the mouth of a 5 year old?! She's too young; it's going to give me a heart attack! When I was 5, I didn't know the first thing about any of that kind of stuff. But I'm also so proud of her. These comments remind me what a strong spirit she is and I hope she never settles for any boy that won't treat her like a lady, even if it's with her friends at the age of 5! I hope that she will always expect to be treated the very best, and always maintain that integrity.
I thought they were so sweet working together.
Every time I'd go to snap a picture, they would stop everything and smile. This picture below makes me laugh...in a round about way, it reminds me of Green Acres!

How fun! They are so cute! I loved the little conversations you shared.
That last pic totally does look like green acres.
Too sweet! What a smart girl!
I always see them when I am up at the school- it is so cute that they are such good friends. And Ella certainly has an amazing spirit!
The strong spirit is definitely a Riska trait!!
Looks like you have been teaching Ella well! How funny to hear those things out of 5 yr olds. I guess they do pick up on more than we think they do!
Ooh, snow cones - yum! Ella sounds so grown up for her age! Too cute!
I love your "green acres" picture, it cracks me up. What a little lady you have there!
Lisa, What are you saying about the strong spirit being a Riska trait!? :)
